Earn on every counter you put on the map
A retailer earns on what they process. A distributor earns on what the whole network processes — every withdrawal, every transfer, every bill, in every shop signed up under them.
Three tiers, one commission pool
Every transaction earns one pool of commission from the bank or the biller. That pool is split down the chain. Nobody is paid out of anybody else’s pocket.
Retailer
The shopkeeper at the counter. Faces the customer, handles the cash, and takes the largest share of the pool on every transaction.

Signs up retailers in a taluka or block, funds their wallets, trains them, and answers the first phone call when something breaks.
Overrideon every retailerSuper distributor
Holds a district or a group of talukas and builds distributors under them. A thinner slice, on a much larger base.
Overrideon every distributorWhat a distributor actually does all day
The override is not passive income. A network that nobody visits goes quiet within two months.
Recruit retailers
Walk the market in your taluka and sign up shops. Most distributors add eight to fifteen counters a month in the first quarter.
First-line KYC support
Check the Aadhaar and PAN photos before they are submitted. Clean documents come back approved in two to four hours. Blurred ones bounce.
Manage wallet top-ups
A retailer hands you cash, you move balance into their wallet from your float instantly. This is the part that keeps counters running.
Run local training
Show a new agent their first AEPS withdrawal and their first bill payment in person. An agent trained face to face stays active far longer.
Take the first call
A stuck transaction or a dispute comes to you first. You escalate to your channel manager when it needs the platform team.
Reactivate quiet counters
The dashboard flags any retailer with no transaction for seven days. Calling them back is the cheapest growth you will find.
What we look for before mapping a territory
| Distributor | Super distributor | |
|---|---|---|
| Territory | One taluka or block | One district, or a group of talukas |
| Business | Proprietorship is fine, with GSTIN | Proprietorship, LLP or company, with GSTIN |
| Working capital float | ₹50,000 | ₹2,00,000 |
| Retailers in 90 days | 25 | 100 |
| Existing shop relationships | Strongly preferred | Expected |
| Agreement | 12 months, renewable | 12 months, renewable |
The float is not a fee and it is not paid to MehaiPay. It sits in your own distributor wallet and is what you use to push balance to your retailers, so it turns over several times a month. Whatever is unused can be withdrawn to your bank account at any time. A territory already mapped to another partner is not reassigned, so apply early for the one you want.
What the override adds up to
Start from one retailer and multiply. Nothing here is a promise — it is the arithmetic, with the assumptions written down.
25 active retailers
A first quarter in one taluka. 25 × ₹480 a month.
₹12,000override per month75 active retailers
A taluka worked properly for a year. 75 × ₹480 a month.
₹36,000override per month200 active retailers
A full district, usually as a super distributor. 200 × ₹480 a month.
₹96,000override per monthCredited to their wallet instantly

How a territory usually gets built
-
DAYS 1–7Agreement and territory
We check the territory is free, verify your GSTIN and business papers, and sign a twelve month agreement. Your distributor account and wallet open the same week.
-
DAYS 8–21Your first ten retailers
Your channel manager walks one market with you. Ten counters signed and KYC-approved in three weeks is the normal benchmark.
-
DAYS 22–45Training and activation
Every new retailer gets a face-to-face session and a ₹500 wallet load. The target is that each one completes a real AEPS, bill and transfer transaction within 48 hours of going live.
-
DAY 7 OF MONTH 2First override settlement
Your first monthly statement arrives — commission line by line, GST invoice attached, TDS deducted — and the amount is credited to your registered bank account.
-
DAYS 46–90Scale and reactivate
Push towards 25 active counters, work the quiet-retailer list every week, and start shortlisting the next taluka if you are heading for a super distributor territory.

The distributor programme, answered
Is my territory exclusive?
A mapped territory is not given to a second partner while your agreement runs, and any retailer who registers from a PIN code inside it is routed to you. It is not exclusive in the sense that a shopkeeper who already works with another distributor cannot be forced to move — retailers choose who they buy balance from.
If you consistently miss the activation targets in the agreement, the territory can be reduced at renewal. We tell you well before that happens.
What is the float actually used for?
It is your own balance, sitting in your own distributor wallet. When a retailer hands you ₹5,000 in cash, you push ₹5,000 from the float into their wallet and keep the cash. The float turns over several times a month, which is why ₹50,000 is enough to run twenty-five counters. Unused balance can be withdrawn to your bank account whenever you want.
How is the override calculated, and when is it paid?
It is calculated per transaction at the slabs shown above and accrues in your commission ledger in real time. The ledger is settled once a month and credited to your registered bank account by the 7th, with a GST invoice and a TDS statement. Commission on your own counter, if you run one, is credited daily like any retailer.
Can a retailer become a distributor?
Yes, and several of our strongest distributors started that way. You need a GSTIN, the working capital float and a territory that is free. Your own counter stays live and keeps earning retailer commission — the distributor account sits above it, not instead of it.
What happens if a retailer in my network commits fraud?
That retailer’s account is suspended immediately and the matter goes to our risk team and the sponsor bank. You are not liable for a retailer’s transactions, and the rest of your network is unaffected.
What you are responsible for is the quality of the KYC you pass up. If documents were knowingly forged and submitted anyway, that is a breach of the agreement. This is why we ask you to see the original Aadhaar and PAN before a retailer is onboarded.
Do I need to run a counter of my own?
No. Many distributors only run the network. Keeping one counter live is still useful — it is the fastest way to know when a service is misbehaving, and it earns retailer commission on top of the override.
